Man going through LGBTBE® Certification process

LGBTBE® Certification and Supplier Diversity

Supplier diversity is the intentional inclusion of socially and/or economically disadvantaged groups in procurement opportunities.

Certified “diverse” suppliers are for-profit businesses at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a person or people who identify by race, gender, military service, LGBTQ+, or as a person with disabilities. Supplier diversity opens up new opportunities to participate in business development for small and large business, the military, public utilities, and much more.

About NGLCC Certification

The Rainbow Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley works closely with the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC)’s LGBT Business Enterprises® (LGBTBE®) certification program. To become certified, a business must be 51% owned and operated by a person who is lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.

Certification as an LGBTBE® offers you unprecedented access to Corporate Supplier Diversity offices and opportunities to bid on contracts for business with corporations, public utilities, government organizations, and other enterprises that support diversity in the workplace.

As an LGBTBE®, you will also enjoy webinars and in-person seminars presented by corporate partners and organizational allies, as well as the ability to brand your business with the NGLCC LGBTBE® logo.

The fee for certification by NGLCC is $899, but with a membership in an affiliate chamber, like RCCSV, the fee is waived. Renewal fees for subsequent certification renewals are also waived as long as you remain an active member of the Chamber.

Let the Chamber guide you through this process, and save almost $1000 in certification and renewal fees. We have many certified members and expertise on the Board to help you through every level of the process.
